Ham, Egg, Chips and Peas

This is a very traditional English Christian meal that is still very popular. There is nothing to it meaning it is easy to make and is a great go to meal if in a hurry or if you are stuck for ideas. It has no Biblical meaning and people love to eat it because it is quick, easy and tastes great.

Serves 2
Ready in 20 – 25 minutes


  • 4 slices of ham (Choose some good ham from the deli counter).
  • 4 Eggs.
  • Chips (most people go for the chunky ones).
  • 2 cups of garden peas or petit pois.
  • Chilli infused olive oil.


  • Frying pan.
  • Saucepan.
  • Specular.


  1. If you want to be like the rest of us, just use oven chips.
  2. Fry the eggs in the chilli infused olive oil and boil the peas.
  3. The eggs will need only a few minutes once the oil is hot.
  4. The peas can go on just after the chips go in the oven.
Serve with tomato sauce.
